For laptops: The device model and serial number are usually printed on a label on the bottom of the device. Look for markings such as "Model", "Model No.", "Serial Number (S/N)", or "Product ID".

If the label is worn or missing, you can find this information in the BIOS/UEFI or within the operating system (e.g. System Information in Windows).

For desktop computers: The model may be printed on the case, listed on a label attached to the chassis, or available in system settings for prebuilt machines.

If you are unsure, you can upload a clear photo of the device or its label below, and we will identify it for you.

3. Fault Details

Important guidance for describing the fault:
  • Describe the symptoms (what you see/hear/experience), not what you assume the cause is.
  • State whether the fault is regular or intermittent.
  • If intermittent, explain when it happens and under what pattern.
  • Mention what happened immediately before the fault started.
  • Incomplete or unclear descriptions may lead to incorrect categorisation. An engineer may contact you for more details.
